For too long big money has controlled our politics. Let us expound on this one principle: Separation of Money and State. Message | "Mr. Speaker, This will only serve major parties like UWC and the LDP. Minor parties like the Conservative party will not be given funding. Do you see the problem? This is how it is on the left: all heart, no brain!" - Erica McPherson (LDP-KE) Prime Minister of Hutori |
Date | 22:29:32, August 28, 2016 CET | From | Labour Party of Hutori | To | Debating the Public Financing Act: One Vote Act |
Message | "Mr. Speaker, Could we please remind the Prime Minister what happens when you assume things? Simply, no where does this say that larger parties will recieve more or less bases on there size. Bringing that point up is simply fear mongering with no actual truths to back it up. The only parties hurt by this bill are parties like the LDP whim have accepted large donationselection from major corporations to get where they are. Senator Joe Murray (L-AD) Leader of the Liberal Party" |

Message | OOC: Sorry for typos, my phone has started autocorrecting part of words (that's how you get "donationselection") I promise, I'm not as illiterate as some of my post make me seem lol. |

Message | "Mr. Speaker, The LDP has 130 seats in this chamber, not because of any donation, but because of nearly 13 million votes cast in favor of our party. 13 million votes cast in favor of free minds, free people, and free markets. United We Can and its newfound friend Joe Murray are here because of thousands of layabouts voting themselves bread and circuses." - Prime Minister Erica McPherson (LDP-KE) Leader of the LDP |

Random fact: When your party holds the foreign affairs department, you can create new treaties. However, before writing anything new, it is a good idea to search for existing treaties which already accomplish what you desire. |
Random quote: "Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American...[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people." - Tenche Coxe |
