Bill: National Anthem Change Debate

Details

Submitted by[?]: Cosmopolitan Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 4221

Description[?]:

Currently, the national anthem of Malivia invokes twice the mention of a religion, via the words "God" and "Lord." The Cosmopolitan Party wishes to change this. We view this as an atrocity for a nation that claims religious freedom/independence. Simply, the proposal seeks to gauge the opinion of the other member of Parliament in regards to changing these controversial lyrics, though they are a part of a historically important piece of Malivian culture.
