Bill: F-170: Diplomatic Freedom Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Federal Heritage Party of Hutori
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 4515
Description[?]:
This proposal seeks Hutorian withdrawal from defunct, overly restrictive, and out of date treaties. Article 1) We are not an island nation so per se therefore we propose our withdrawal Article 2) TWO is a partisan organization and should not be receiving even tacit support from our national government. Article 3) This treaty is no longer ratified by Sekowo and is thus defunct. Article 4) The International University while an admirable goal is currently defunct and thus we propose our withdrawal Article 5) While we do support equal protection under the law, the PLA treaty does nothing for our citizens and is just an added layer of unnecessary bureaucracy. Article 6) The gender equality treaty like the PLA is an admirable goal. However, it adds a whole new layer of bureaucratic cost that is burdensome to the taxpayer and is wholly unnecessary. Article 7) The ITRAS has no body in which to report to and is largely ineffective at its stated mission. While we are not opposed to its conditions we are opposed to being a part of such an ineffective organization. Article 8) TCSCO is an organization from which Hutori benefits little from and we thus propose our withdrawal from it. |
