The Reformist Forum was founded in July 13, 3494 with the aim to create a democratic society and ending the persecution of minorities. The RF combines conservative and libertarian ideals with a belief in social and environmental responsibility, and a firm belief in human rights. Some of the positions of the party: -Abolishing the income tax, replacing it with higher sales taxes. -Reducing the size of the government to previous levels -Largely privatizing the education system, but ensuring that poor children have access to private schools as well, through vouchers and funding of private schools -A moderate welfare state, but with publicly funded private welfare corporations working on a for-profit basis that ensures freedom of choice -Adequate healthcare and other social services for everyone, cuts in education, science and culture to ensure this. -Environmental protection and animal welfare, a green society without any forms of animal testing -Vitalizing the cultural sector by subcontracting with private corporations, and giving tax exemptions for private donations, instead of invasive government subsidies -Generally pro-life and against government subsided contraception -Pro-human rights anti-segregation, seeking to end all racist laws introduced by the fascist governments -Moderate policies on immigration, encouraging a civic nationalism and an inclusive patriotism -Abolishing libel and slander laws -No to copyright protection, patents or closed source code -Legal paramilitaries, privatized armed forces and guns for everyone -Abolishing all marriage laws so that individuals, churches and associations are free to define the term as they wish. |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
Random quote: "The state is nothing but an instrument of oppression of one class by another, no less so in a democratic republic than in a monarchy." - John Smith |
