The Militarist Party of Sekowo was formed in December of 2298 out of working and middle class Sekowans. The Party believes in strong, centralized leadership, government mobilization of labour, government control of major industry and business, strong protectionist policies, sweeping powers for security forces and the maintenance of a large and well equipped national army. The Party feels that through government direction, the economy and nation can be strengthened and national unity and sovereignty safeguarded and reinforced. The Party believes that Military discipline and patriotic self sacrifice and service towards the good of the state are necessary to keep the nation strong and to move forward in prosperity, and to protect the greater good; these things must be forced upon the people. The Party also believes that political diversity and democratic system of governance is inefficient and devise, and cannot be tolerated in a strong nation. The Party is was founded by Alexander Thompson, a former soldier the Sekowan army. He is still considered the ideological father of the party and is reverred in party circles. The Militarist Party of Sekowo maintains a military branch called the “Sekowo Patriotic Guard”, a volunteer paramilitary group under the command of Alexander Thompson and the Central Party Committee. The SPG are based primarily in the urban centers, taken out of the working class supporters of the party, especially the youth. SPG Units are formed by neighborhood, which are put under their Municipal SPG Commander of the City, who is under the Regional SPG Commander, under the National SPG Commander, which reports to the Central Party Committee of the Militarist Party. Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
