The Libertarian Party is devoted to classical liberalism: a free market along with a free a populace. Life, liberty, and property. In general, the Libertarian Party will support privatized or localized options, with self-regulation for privatized institutions. We believe strongly in civil liberties (specifically negative liberties over positive liberties) such as the right to privacy, gun ownership, and free speech. On foreign policy, we are non-interventionist except in the most extreme circumstances; however, we still support an open-door immigration policy. We believe that the tenets of free trade exist by natural law, and cannot be defined, or confined to "free trade zones." |
