Description[?]:
Socialist People's Party A new political movement that is looking to dramatically change the economy of the Commonwealth. The economy has been abused by overspending on the military and not enough spending on food and agriculture, science and technology, foreign affairs, to name but a few. The SPP would: - Introduce a Commonwealth Health Service (CHS) to ensure everyone is treated when ill. - Introduce a Commonwealth Funeral System (CFS) to ensure the dead are respected even if the family are unable to pay for funeral costs. - Increase tax on the highest earners to 60% at a minimum as it is clear that the Commonwealth is in debt as tax is too low for the highest earners. - Significantly reduce the defence budget which will: + reduce debt + allow an increase in spending in more important areas + allow for more diplomatic approaches to be made where countries disagree. - Begin to trade with allies (only) in order to increase exports and create more income for the Commonwealth but only in the best interests of the Commonwealth. |

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
