Description[?]:
=================================== FACTIO IMPERATORIA (IMPERIAL PARTY) =================================== Rutilus Saeta, noted economist and former independent mayor of Devoleia (Septentria), was long asked to join one of the national political parties because of his local popularity. In the face of a failing economy and a ruling political elite that seemed unwilling or unable to do anything about this, coupled with the further dilution of a once-proud heritage and culture, Saeta declined the offers from various parties to join them and decided to form his own party. Thus, in June 4512, the Imperial Party was born in Devoleia. When asked where he drew his inspiration for the new party, Saeta replied: "The Imperial Party is the rebirth of those who made this country great, strong and renowned throughout the world. We will champion our culture, our heritage, our way of life in cooperation with all those who would see our nation restored to its former greatness." =================================== FI POLITICAL POSITIONS =================================== The FI advocates: * Social progressivism * Big government * "Third Way" Economics * Establishing Pontesi as a strong military power * A hereditary head of state with clearly defined powers held in check by an empowered Senate, distinct from the head of government * A gradual tax-rate * Reinvigoration of old Pontesi traditions, customs and religion (and rejecting foreign influence) =================================== FI ORGANIZATION =================================== The party's chairman is elected by direct ballot from its members, and also functions as candidate for head of state during elections. The party's deputy is appointed by the party chairman and also functions as candidate for head of government during elections, as well as majority or minority leader in the senate. =================================== FI LEADERS =================================== Rutilus Saeta June 4515 - March 4522 Pius Trifer March 4522 - December 4525 Agrippa Tiberius Caesar December 4525 - |
