Description[?]:
The National Liberation Movement, formerly United We Can, is a social movement representing regular working Hutorians everywhere. We shall fight for Social Justice on the beaches, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the workroom; we shall never surrender! History of United We Can: Eternal Revolutionary Chairman - Guide of the Revolution: Jack Johnson (4070 - 4090 ) Activist since he can remember. Led several peaceful protests, sit-ins, and marches. And that was just in his Grade School days. After obtaining a Doctorate in Political Science he became a Professor in the field. Seeing a general lack of representation for the working class he helped organize 'United We Can' to lead the way! His goal is: Decentralized Socialism that is strongly tied in with populism and direct democracy. United We Can was a Mass Movement of the Left joined together in a common cause, more than just a political party! Unfortunately United We Can dissolved after a freak car accident lead to the untimely death of Jack Johnson. Political Position: Left Wing Populism Socialism (Jillist-Johnsonist) History of the Hutorian Socialist Party/National Liberation Movement: Revolutionary Comrade: Jill "Red Jenny" Jennings (4125 - ) Revolutionary Comrade Jill "Red Jenny" Jennings picked up the pieces that were left in the abrupt fall of the UWC. She quickly solidified her hold of a fledgling United We Can. Her goal is to rebuild a once mighty movement that took the entire nation by storm. She proudly supports a cult of personality, but not around herself, solely around Jack Johnson who is completely Idolized and has been given the Title: Eternal Revolutionary Chairman - Guide of the Revolution. Jillist-Johnsonist Socialism: A form of Socialism combining both Populist sentiments with a belief in a Vanguard Party and a Centralized State. The Socialist Party should be a unifying force of the Socialist Movement within Hutori as well as, increasingly, abroad. Main Planks: * Public Health Care fully taxpayer funded and free of additional charge. * Education free of both charge & religion. * Massive investments in public infrastructure as well as free public transportation for all. * Birth control and abortion both free of charge and readily available to all * Nationalization of all major banks and an end to banksters earning money off of fomenting wars and recessions to force foreclosure on the working and middle class. * A gradual nationalization of industries to assure decent pay for decent work to all. * Higher taxes on the wealthy. * Land reform aimed at restoring land ownership to those who work the land. National Liberation represents a movement to liberate the People of Hutori from the rule of the Investor Class. Let us rise up, break the chains, and bring Forward Revolution! We demand Action, and we demand it NOW! |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
