SPP's official ideologies; Democratic socialism and ecologism. Primary Factions: Republicans: Most Unionists and democrats are members of the republicans, thus making it the strongest power within SPP. The republicans stand for party unity above all. Founded by Glen Charity in 3781. Secondary factions; Unionist - Largest faction, democratic socialists and ecologists, union rights is their highest priorities. Former chairman David johnsson was a part of this faction. Democrats - second largest faction. Social liberals and moderate ecology sceptics. First chairman and founder of SPP Mark Waltz was a part of this faction. Ideologists - A very small marxist group within the Unionist faction. Former chairman Oscar Lindman is the founder of this group. Leaders; Mark Waltz (Democrat) 3751-3758 David Johnsson (Unionist) 3758-3769 Oscar Lindman (Ideologists) 3769-3777 Glen Charity (Republican/Independent) 3777-Present Important actions and heppenings: Januari 3775 "The Solentian Times After long negotiations SPP and one of the country's largest trade unions SWU (Solentias Workers Union) officially joined forces. From now on they share youth and student wings, have permanent representatives in each others boards and will co-operate during elections." March 3777 Press release from SPP and SWU SPP and SWU (Solentias workers union) together starts a new leftist think tank named "Equality and Progress (EP)". Since David Johnsson have been chairman for both SPP and SWU he get's to be the new chairman of EP. The rest of the board will be split 50/50 between the two organizations. EP will work with formation of opinion, creation of common policies, financial aid for smal left leaning medias, common political strategy, research and much more. "The socialist movement grows and we must to grow with it. This will bring the political representatives and the working men closer together." - Oscar Lindman, Chairman of SPP August 3781 Press release from Glen Charity (Chairman of SPP) "SPP has allways been a party of constant internal struggles, the only thing that keept us together was strong leaders, such as David Johnsson and Oscar Lindman. This is no way to organize a party, there must be unity. I'm going to reform SPP from it's core. That's why i start by creating a new internal "Faction", a faction above others. I will call this faction "Republicans". A member can be a part of this faction and one more, but when you alligne yourelf to the republicans you make a promise to the party that no matter what, you will allways stand for party unity before internal struggle. This way we will get unionists and democrats under a single banner. It's what's best for the party. Further reforms are sure to follow." |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
