| Rutanian Democratic Party Rutanian Demokratische Partei Rutanian Democrats "Ready to Reform" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Rutanian Democrats were formed shortly after the December 3849 elections. The party had become more diverse politically with many members of the defunct Urban Party of Rutania joining the Federalists. With this new diversified base the party felt like it needed to change its name and slightly modify its positions. The party is fairly new to the Rutanian political system on a federal level but some locally affiliated parties have been active for decades or even centuries. The party has a National Conference every year where many Federalist politicians and activists attend, the Conference is held in different destinations across Rutania, every year. People are only allowed to enter the confrence by invitation but since the leadership elections are held at the conference all party members may watch the leadership debates online and vote for a leader online. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Platform We the Democrats stand for Federalism and Rutanian Liberalism. We believe in a free market de-regulated economy that is in the control of the people, with a small welfare system to protect the poorest of Rutuanians. We believe that the rights of workers of the lower and middle classes need to be protected as well, through labour unions that the government does not interfere in. We believe in a Federalized Rutania under a completely Localized system, we believe only the most essential things should be under the control of the federal government. We believe in a strongly Rutanian military with certain regulations to ensure that the actions of the military don't affect the citizens of Rutania. We support freedom to practice any religion or none if the person chooses not to. We are generally supporters of the right to do anything Rutanians wish, as long as what they are doing don't impede on the rights of others. We stand for a free Rutania. The Federalists support major budget reforms. The party stands for the abolishment of Corprate and Essentail Goods tax since it is currently not needed to run a budget surplus. The party stands for more government investment in Education and Healthcare as well, considering that the current Rutanian budget only makes up 10% of the total GDP. Socially most of the party identifies as Libertarian or Moderate though there are some caucus members from rural districts that have run on a Socially Conservative platform. Fiscally most of the caucus members identify as NeoLiberal, showing absolute faith in the free market though there are a few Moderates. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Support Groups Many groups have expressed their overwhelming support for the Rutanian Democrats, The Rutanian Permissive League, Rutanian Civil Rights Alliance, Rutanian National LGBTQ Congress and The Progressive Hosians of Rutania are the main Social Political Groups that support the party. The Rutanian Business Alliance, The Rutanian Capitalist Coalition and the Organization for Fiscal Conservatism are the main Fiscal Political Groups that support the party. Alfred Landsberg 3860-Incumbent Parliamentary Leader The parliamentary leader is responsible for conducting federal election campaigns and should take the leader position if the leader were to resign their position. Since they assume the role of parliamentary leader they are responsible for speaking on behalf of the Federalists in most cases in Parliament, should the Democrats be nominated for the Prime Minister position, the parliamentary leader would take the position. 1.
