Description[?]:
The Populist Party was formed in December 4003 by former political independent Robert Goodwin. The Populists are dedicated to the ideals of right-wing populism, anti-elitism, laissez-faire liberalism, social progressivism, and justice for the common man. Most Populists are also right-wing libertarians when it comes to the role of the government in internal affairs and also believe in a privatized, but subsidized welfare state. This faction in particular calls for greater federal regulation when it comes to welfare, health care, and international trade, but takes a rather libertarian stance on enforcing social ideals on the citizens of Hutori. Conservatives: The conservative, right-wing faction of the Populist Party is currently the second-largest faction within the party. The conservative faction of the party is considered the strongest and most influential faction within the Populist Party due to a majority of its noteworthy members being high-ranking officials in the party. Members of this faction call for a strict adherence to free trade, a deregulated but slightly subsidized welfare state, and a centre-right stance on social ideals. Radical Left: The radical left-wing faction of the Populist Party, often known as the "Liberal Populists", is the smallest and newest political faction in the party. Members of this faction call for strict federal regulation in trade and want to further advance the welfare state, increase funding on a majority of social programs, and want to completely subsidize agriculture and health care. |
