Bill: The "You Asked For It" Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Independent Capitalist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2184
Description[?]:
You literally asked for it when you voted no on the act to prevent poison bills. It failed to get 2/3 so now we can ruin you. Be careful. If you vote yes, Aloria withdraws from every treaty it's in and chances are you'll never get 2/3 to ever get in another treaty. If you vote no, you won't have time to fix your visibilities before the election. This is why I wanted to prevent poison bills, now you play into our trap. |

Message | And yes, there's a good chance that because of this bill the AC will gain at least 7 seats. Would you then keep your promise and leave Aloria or will you continue to complain and will we have to force you back further? The only thing that could save you now is the return of the Freedom Party, whose remnants are enjoying themselves in power in the Holy Land. |

Message | Hehe, you've never seen an Axis country when their main gov't loses power. There's literally hundreds of mega bills made in bill fights. And 4/9 of the Aloriain parties are on my side, two are very old, and DSP is stubborn. The only people who probably could be upset enough to leave are DLP and you. And ask yourself or DLP for the answer. |

Message | We fear CNP not. You can convince yourselves of lies, but the truth is this: *The Aloria Coalition is the only truely legitamate government. *The Aloria Coalition is the only government that does anything while in power. *The Aloria Coalition is the only coalition united enough to actually win HoS. *The Aloria Coalition is so popular it was out of power only by 7 seats although CNP returned and tried to steal ICP voters. *There is a good chance the Aloria Coalition will regain power and you are afraid of that. *The Aloria Coalition never makes up lies about the anti-Aloria Coalition, but the anti-Aloria parties make up lies about the AC just to make themselves feel good. *The Independent Capitalist Party does not fear the failing and old Capitalism Now! Party. It is quite easy to ruin them. *The Democratic Socialist Party is nothing but a smaller SRP-wannabe party that spews lies and is a yes-man party to AGSP. *The Aloria Coalition does not have a divided voter base and has a more popular voter base and thus is mostly in power. *It is inevitable to lose power, if you don't like it suck it up and accept it or leave. The door's always open. |

Message | If you were so powerful, you wouldn't have lost power again so soon. You just have to face that you can't dominate Aloria any more, you'll never stay in power for long if you even manage to get it back again. |

Message | "If you were so powerful, you wouldn't have lost power again so soon. You just have to face that you can't dominate Aloria any more, you'll never stay in power for long if you even manage to get it back again." We've lost it before. It always happens after a surprise factor and we always get it back. History is on our side. "If it comforts you, keep telling yourself that. Your time has been and gone." Quite funny, you said that last time and we retook power stronger than before. P.S. The ICP hopes the CNP stays. It's soooooooo much easier to manipulate yourself into large partiness when you have a lot of parties in your country. |

Message | CN!P, the only reason they "like" you is because you put them in power. Ever noticed how everyone else in your coalition are socialists? Yeah, I bet they just love you getting in the way of their unitarist, regulator platform. |

Message | Oh, the puppet SRP finally decides to say something, well done Mr. Facist, way to try and get rid of our treaties. Too busy kissing the ICP's ass to see what damage this may do to Aloria. Message | The puppet SRP, leader of the Aloria Coaltion? Yes... that sounds about right, but Fascist? No, you see Fascists are Unitarist Regulators (like your allies). The SRP is liberal, devolutionist, and regulator. We simply put Aloria first. |

Message | Both of those are legislatively restrictive, and we don't actually need them to uphold children rights, or human rights. In fact, Aloria should be strong enough to uphold them without restrictive treaties! |
Date | 22:41:22, February 11, 2006 CET | From | Independent Capitalist Party | To | Debating the The "You Asked For It" Bill |
Message | Hehe, just because I'm the spokesman doesn't mean that I'm the puppetmaster. We all are our own parties, chosen to band together in the Aloria Coalition - not because of selfish gains but because of the betterment of Aloria. The anti-Aloria Coalition simply does it for gains and even cut out LGDP and replaced them with you. You serve no purpose for them but to steal federalist votes, that's why DSP wants you to stay. You are mistaken, CNP. You are the puppet! If you are your own master, then you should leave if you want, stay if you want. It's your choice. Don't be bossed around by the anti-Alorians. I don't hate you, I hate to see such a great party being forced to be a puppet. Act independently. Don't be caught up in politics. |
Date | 23:04:43, February 11, 2006 CET | From | Independent Capitalist Party | To | Debating the The "You Asked For It" Bill |
Message | P.S. I don't give a damn if you leave or stay, it's DSP who wants to stay because the second you leave they'll never have a chance at power again. You see, I'm not using you, I don't fear you, etc. I am not in an evil conspiracy, I am not a puppet master, I'm not fascist (in fact, libertarian is the exact opposite). I don't hate you, my party opposes you because you joined Aloria for the sole purpose to oppose us. My party is like the Libertarian Capitalist Party from back in the day, the difference is that you joined Aloria for the express purpose of taking me out of power because you hated things the Independent *Centrist* Party, the Independent *Capitalist* Party's predecessor party, did to you back when our platform was a lot different. The reason my party and your party don't get along although being very similar is that you're siding with the anti-libertarians. You are putting people with minority views in power in the government by giving people with views expressed by less than 50% of the Alorians more than 50% of the seats by you siding with them. You are advocating tyranny by minority. So, if you really care about your voters, why are you betraying them by putting people with opposite views in the cabinet? At least the Aloria Coalition is all libertarians of some sort. What upsets me is that it winds up being libertarian capitalist against libertarian capitalist, the battle being waged over the key ICP-CNP-HCP seats. The federalist majority is out by 7 seats because a small portion of federalists betrayed the fellow federalists and put unitarists in power. The most key issue that divides parties in Aloria is federalism, and why are you letting the minority have majority powers? If you truely love your voters, you should cease to side with exact opposites of your voters or leave. What you are doing is the thing you are accusing me of. You are putting your want for power above the good of your voters. That's why I mention voter base. You should remember your voter base or your voter base will not remember you come election day. So leave, stay, or whatever you want. However, remember that you should be the master of your own party, not the puppet to bring the minority of unitarists into power. Your fight is not with the Independent Capitalist Party, it is with the Independent Centrist Party. Things changed, CNP. We are not the party you once knew and hated. Do whatever you want, but at least be honest to your voters. |

Message | "Are we a well known Nation in the Republic of Pontesi?" Not really, I was just introduced to the game by some of the players here in Aloria, so I like to see how they're getting on from time to time. ;) It's really occuring to me how much this debate could be based on a Shakespearean comedy, especially with the CNP!s change from anger, to departure and almost defeatism, to the DSP whispering in their ears to see them bounce back and resurge... Let's hope the last night is a fitting finalé should it ever come... |

Let's just break down all the bills I've proposed - shall we? * Establishment of a Minimum Wage - 1 * Advertising Standards Act - 1 * Public Media Act of 2169 - 3 * Economic Protection Act - 2 * Cloning Regulation Act 2170 - 1 * Governing Council Modification - 1 * Cabinet Proposal of October 2180 - 0 * Cabinet Proposal of December 2181 - 0 * Reformation of Religion - 5 * Alorian Civil Liberties Act of 2183 - 5 19 proposals, 10 bills, average of 1.9 proposals per bill. And now the last few bills of the AGSP: # Guess what? The AGSP wants an end to biological & chemical weapons. - 2 # Must the intelligence sevices be so invasive? - 1 # Not the state's business. - 1 # AGSP Reform Bill - 20 # Anti AC Cabinet Proposal of December 2170 - 0 # Environment Reform Bill - 9 # Space Regulation Bill - 1 # New Environment Reform Bill - 3 # Name Change Bill. 1 (not strictly speaking, mind) # Anti-Regulation Bill - 1 # We Love Big Bills Too Bill. - 16 # Anti-Coalition Cabinet Proposal of March 2179 - 0 # Call for early elections, June 2179 -1 # Call for early elections, March 2180 -1 # Save Terra Act - 8 64 proposals in 15 bills. An average of 4.27 proposals per bills. So yes, as you can see, the ICP lies about everything. |

Message | Ah yes, this bill requires half the legislature to vote YES. That means they can't win anyway. Everyone abstain! |

Message | On second thoughts, I could use the boost to my Military and Foreign Relations visibilities. Thanks, ICP! |

Message | DSP/AGSP: You still did more mega bills in the past legislative session. I was willing to stop, you continue things. And go ahead, DSP. Get more unpopular views. |

Message | In the last legislative session I had two 5 proposal bills and AGSP had an 8. Yep, you still lied. |

Message | Exactly. Anyone remember ICP's cabinet bill? Pure evil. |

Message | Yes, and this is my big bill in retaliation. 3 > 1. Plus, this has 4 clauses that will affect your visibility. 5+5+8 > 4. It'd have been easier for the sake of debates if you just voted for the ban. |

Message | I'm all for freedom. Even without a ban, you didn't *have* to do this. In fact, it dents your credibility yet further. |

Message | Meh, how about a deal, then? I'll stop making bills (other than cabinet ones) with more than 5 clauses if you do. Unless it passes by 2/3 because if it does it's a popular one and not a trap one. |

Message | I would agree, were it not for the fact the ICP has completely ruined their credibility. Therefore, we will make no deals, we will trust the ICP with nothing. OOC: If the voters were smart enough to read any of your comments you'd be dead now. :P |

Message | OOC: If voters were smart, CNP would have 0 seats because they vote federalist for visibilities but then vote anti-federalist in resolutions and cabinets and thus would appeal to neither voter base. If voters were smart, there would be loyalties (ie. you couldn't go from 0 seats to 100 or 300 to 50). Voters aren't smart in Particracy. It's AI. Artificial intelligence is artificial. If voters were smart the AC would have never lost power. |

Message | The AGSP will never give in to threats an ulitmatums. If the ICP is really against these bills, they should lead by example. We are not going to be told to stop sucking eggs by an egg-sucker. |

Message | Okay we'll lead by examples. We won't make any mega bills as long as no one else does. If anyone else does, we may have to make them to readjust the visibilities to what they should normally be at. We're not going to start it this new and clean legislative session. |

Message | That souns a bit more fair. Shame on you for this though. I think it's perfectly reasonable to put forward a really big bill full of things you *genuinely* believe in. Do you really want to withdraw from the olypic association, for example? |
