Description[?]:
The Jezvraljogadsrlji Lofrkadés (Luthorian: Social Liberals) are a social liberal and monarchist political party in the Kingdom of Vanuku that is a affiliate of the Velvet Movement, a political alliance tied to the crown. The Social Liberals are a center to center-left party that largely advocates for a mixed market economy, progressive social policy and a seperation of church and state. The party also attracts center-right voters due to its stance on the monarchy, which it views as a vital institution. It also favours a semi-constitutional or constitutional monarchy, with two factions vying for each of the two within the party. While the Velvet Movement consists of a wide variety of noble houses and thus ideologies, it general perscripes to the ideas of social conservatism combined with Monarchism. The Social Liberals are the centrist to center-left wing of the alliance, with a variety of other parties linked to the movement as well. Due to the monarchy itself being a member of the Velvet Movement many political parties join the movement/alliance to gain more influence in government, thus making the movement its own influential institution. While the party and alliance enjoys only moderate support in the military, the intelligence community is its bastion of support, with many intelligence officers coming from the minor families in the region. Random quote: "John Burroughs has stated that experimental study of animals in captivity is absolutely useless. Their character, their habits, their appetites undergo a complete transformation when torn from their soil in field and forest. With human nature caged in a narrow space, whipped daily into submission, how can we speak of its potentialities?" - Emma Goldman |
