Description[?]:
The Parti Républicain was formed as the 'Mouvement pour une République Citoyenne' with the aim of organising a resistence against the fascist government of Kanjor. After successfully leading the Revolution of 4114 and winning subsequent elections the Parti Républicain rebuilt the Republic on the principles of citizen's government. Repealing much of the oppressive fascist government's policies the Parti Républicain instead fostered a society based on liberty, equality and reason. Today Republicans seek to continue that legacy, governing the Republic along the principles of the Revolution: Democracy - We believe no government can be legitimate unless it is put in place by the citizens and abides by the will of the citizens. The right to determine the destiny of Kanjor resides only with its citizens. Liberty - All citizens of Kanjor must enjoy the full liberties of their lives, to live their lives as they please free from compulsion and dependence. Socialism - A free citizen must also be free from compulsion and dependence in the economic realm. To this end the Parti Républicain supports the workers' control of the means of production and control of their own destiny at work. Reason - A free citizen must be allowed to live their lives as a rational individual free from the influence of superstitious beliefs in public policy making. We also believe in a rational, evidence based approach to making policy. Ideology: Kanjor Republicanism, Social-Democracy, Democratic Socialism, Trade Unionism, Broad Left, Anti-Fascism, Liberalism (minority), Metzism (minority) State Atheism (minority) Leader: Henri Moreau: 4113 - 4126 (Grand Commandeur de Kanjor 4114 - 4115, Président de la République 4115 - 4118, 4122 - 4126) Alexandrine Chevalier: 4126 - 4134 (Président de la République 4126 - 4130) Communal Leadership 4134 - 4136 Charlotte Blanc 4136 - 4142 Party Dissolved Thomas Moreau 4282 - 4292 Éléonore Villard 4292 - 4300 Georges Henri Blanc 4300 - present Party Logo: https://s16.postimg.org/s7wqera2t/PR_Logo.png |
