Description[?]:
'Change for Good.' The motto of the BPP summarises the party's underlying principle, which is to strive to improve the lives of ALL citizens within society. Sitting as a centrist party, with a history of negotiating between the two wings, the BPP aims to hold the incumbent party to account and prides itself on securing and promoting government transparency. The second major theme of the party is pragmatism. The BPP views external military action as destabilising and, as such, adopts a scheme of passive resistance which would result in the supplanting of a hostile governmental apparatus by native governmental machinery. The BPP is not sympathetic to ideas of 'blood-sacrifice', and believes strongly that the military should come to the aid of the state only in times of national emergency. The third major theme of the BPP is that of their role as democrats. The BPP works from the premise that the people’s will was sovereign; that the Baltusia people are the final arbiter of political right and wrong. The BPP is an advocate of Proportional Representation as a more democratic system of election and as a fairer electoral system for minority groups. In voting on any Bill, the BPP will uphold the belief that it should have the approbation of the Baltusian people; during debates on any treaty the BPP make it clear that if it was rejected by the people the BPP would not support it, but would bow to their better judgement.
