Description[?]:
The People's Revolutionary Junta (Formally known as the Militia) is under new management. - Recently the organisation known in Lodamun as the Militia was voted into power, becoming the second largest political party in the nation. Through the electoral victory the Militia managed to gain three cabinet positions, one of which, the Ministry of Defence, was given to General Aeneas Cenomannicus. Gen. Aeneas Cenomannicus was very influential in the Militia, and who many thought would be the leader of the Militia. However, in the end the relatively unknown Terentius Volumnius managed to gain the lead position through suspected shady dealings. Since Terentius Volumnius rise to power Gen. Aeneas Cenomannicus worked on a way to remove Terentius from power of the Militia. He bid and managed to become Minister of Defence through his party. Days after gaining power he declared the Militia a terrorist organisation, despite being a member of it. He stormed the Militia's headquaters in Port Andalay with Lodamunian soldiers, capturing Terentius Volumnius and his upper echelon. Gen. Cenomannicus, in the Militia's headquaters, ordered the execution of his party leader through a firing squad, and it was done. After the bloody coup, the general contacted what was left of the Militia's leaders and managed to gain most of their loyalty, with a small fraction braking off. Assuming power of the Militia he declared it disbanded, stating that all of it's members were now part of the "People's Revolutionary Junta". Those that disagreed with Cenomannicus' actions were hunted down as members of the "terrorist organisation" the Militia. Fearing for their lives almost all of those in former Militia leadership resigned themselves to being member of the People's Revolutionary Junta. The rest of the People's Revolutionary Junta knew only that they had a change in name and leadership and nothing more. Those who were willing to tell the story to the media wound up standing before a firing squad. - |
