Description[?]:
The Beluzian National Independence Party is a syncretic party following the ideas of "National Progressivism", rooted in a strong Nation, serving as a fortress, seeking to emancipate the people of Beluzia and act as a beacon of Progress shining over Terra. The BNIP supports "inclusive nationalism", making no distinction between the citizens of Beluzia, and seeking to create an identity based off the common quest for progress and liberty. The BNIP supports strong secularism, and opposes any kind of religious influence on society, considering religion to be the torchbearer of conservative ideals and something to be fought. It supports economic and national sovereignty, restrictions on immigration and foreign investments, a strong army complete with nuclear deterrence and a planned economy with wealth redistribution and egalitarian economic policies. Ideology: Left-wing nationalism Progressivism Artanoscepticism (anti-ACON) Egalitarianism Socialism Radical secularism Syncretism If you OPPOSE the UBWP's commitment to reformist capitalism, If you OPPOSE the PPPB's attempts to impose religious morality, If you SUPPORT TRUE progressivism and TRUE socialism, If you SUPPORT a strong government having the interests of the Beluzian nation and people at heart, Then VOTE BNIP and ZOGRAFAKIS ======================= History: The BNIP was founded by socialist youth militant Altair Zografakis in 4988. Zografakis started their party career in the PPPB in 4986, supporting its ideas of nationalism, socialism and secularism. However, due to the PPPB's proposal to put in place a law criminalizing blasphemy, they decided to found a new left-wing nationalist party with other PPPB comrades, truly committed to ideals of secularism (unlike the PPPB) and socialism (being opposed to the UBWP's perceived support for liberalism). BNIP's first propositions, as part of the 4988 election campaign, were a plan to ban profit-driven private media channels, crack down on religious influence in education, and exit foreign treaties seen as unfavorable or unfair for the Beluzian people. Despite being nationalists, the BNIP is fairly unique as it combines nationalism with progressivism. It rejects ethnic nationalism, in favor of a civic nationalist construction of the Beluzian nation, opposes religion which it sees as the "torchbearer of conservatism" and supports women's and LGBTQ+ rights, the latter point being particularly emphasized due to two of the party's founders (Mx. Zografakis and Ms. Xhoneux) being transgender and being major advocates for LGBTQ+ equality. They were a very minor party in 4988, only reaching 0.07% of the vote. However, they started to gain some recognition in 4989, when Zografakis protested against UBWP's refusal to hold parliamentary sessions, and started campaigning for early elections being held, with a responsible parliament. The party based is, so far, divided in three factions: * Orthodox Zografakists (66%): led by Altair Zografakis themself. Other prominent members include Eleanor van Daele, Roman Pagnani, Lana Xhoneux and Vladimir Yogeswaran. They support orthodox "National Progressivism", and tend to oppose foreign intervention, preferring to build socialism within one country and creating a society that other countries can look up to. * Interventionist Zografakists (26%): led by Maxwell Nieuwenhuizen. Other prominent members include Rafael Hirasawa, Jaime Anjorin and Sonia Rosander. They support foreign intervention, to spread socialist ideals abroad and to create allied nations, with which trade could be possible. * Federalists (8%): led by Lucas Ma. A minor faction within the BNIP, they support state devolution, and the transformation of Beluzia into a federation of smaller self-reliant, yet allied nations. These views are largely rejected by the remainder of the party. |
