Description[?]:
The goal of the Neo-Epicurean party is to maximize the happiness of all people. We believe that this is best accomplished by allowing the people to partake in pleasurable activities in moderation. The party is more concerned with domestic than foreign affairs, but we support friendly foreign relations, free trade with minimal restrictions, and open borders for both entry and exit. We support individual rights, but in some cases people should be restricted from taking extreme actions that could infringe upon the well-being of others. We believe that a productive populace is a happy populace, so measures that will strengthen the economy are supported. However, this must be balanced with a reasonable respect for the environment, because pollution degrades the economy in the long run. We consider religion to be a failed experiment that has done more harm than good over the course of human history. The quality of life would be greatly improved if everyone viewed the world on a rationalist basis. |
