Nation[?]: Dewleta nû ya Barmenia (Barmenistan)
Seats[?] in Meclîsa Gel (Assembly of the People)[?]: 0
Color[?]:
Description[?]:
We believe in the morals of Buddhism. The main trunk of philosophy is what we incorporate into ourselves, and all religious notions are excluded. Above all, though, we promise to maintain these: 1. The receptive view on life 2. Truthful intentions 3. Restraint of slander 4. Proper action 5. Virtuous integrity 6. Persevering effort for truth 7. Clear mindfulness 8. Determined concentration The Barmenian people should feel filial respect for their leaders, without worry of forced political or spiritual doctrine. Uphold this we will, and practice the law we shall. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Centralization : Keep this nation together as best as possible, unite it, promote the nation. But if the people of one state direly desire release from Barmenia, such must be heeded. Civil Rights : All people should be given equal opportunity at personal solace, no matter if they are man or woman, atheists or believer, hetero or homo sexual, deformed or beautiful, etc. Opponents of our views, too, have an equal right to point out their doubt in our ways - that is how one continues growing. Ecology : Humanity has done many a horrible thing to the environment for one reason or another, and it is time we stand up and do what is right, even if unpopular - bring the world's, or at least our nation's, ecology back from the brink. We have only one boat on the cosmic ocean, so cutting holes in it and burning the hull seams rather stupidly suicidal. Foreign relations: Work with all other nations whenever possible. Our culture is not perfect, nor is any other, but the combination of them all is pretty darn close. (though if one nation wants to be a prick, they can do it on their own) Government Responsibilities : The federal government has a role to provide the best general solace it can to the people. Sometimes this is done by national regulation. For specific needs, though, smaller government is needed. Market : It is like watching over children playing when the observer is the parent - You let them go as they will, but prevent them from doing something stupid, like jumping off the top of the roof. Same thing for commerce. Let them do what they desire, as long as it's not monopolizing or just dumb. Military: To protect ourselves or help those who ask for virtuous help. Not for imperialism. Morality : Let every voice be heard, every possibility considered, even for just a moment. Indeed, the strengths of tradition are quite real, but how will the nation know if there is nothing greater if other options aren't tested? Respect and never deny our history or traditions, but let the present move to the future instead of the past. Religion: The matters of Politics and Spirituality are different entities. They combine in people. But this combination never should be reflected in government. ______________________________________ FREE TIBET |
