Description[?]:
The United Left is a democratic socialist party that exists to spread civil liberty, economic justice, and compassionate populism throughout the Commonwealth. The United Left was formed in late February 2737 by a group of radicals led by Liam Spektor and Maren Hensley. The United Left Manifesto states that the party was formed "to give a voice to the numerous supporters of leftist reform in the Commonwealth and in response to the growing power of right-wing and religious fundamentalist groups in the Commonwealth, especially the recent concentration of power in the hands of the wealthy, conservative members of the governing coalition between the Republican Elitist Party and the Orange Party as well as the rising Rutanian Heritage Party." The Party is led by the Central Committee of the United Left, which consists of five members. Currently, Liam Spektor and Maren Hensley serve as Co-Chairs of the Committee. Also seated are Marek Collins, Cairo Fitzgerald, and Helena Guylos. United Left: A New Value. Economic Left/Right: -9.88 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.31 |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
Random quote: "We must show that liberty is not merely one particular value but that it is the source and condition of most moral values. What a free society offers to the individual is much more than what he would be able to do if only he were free. We can therefore not fully appreciate the value of freedom until we know how a society of free men as a whole differs from one in which unfreedom prevails." - Friedrich August Hayek |
