International Ice Hockey League (IIHL)

The International Ice Hockey League is an organized sport body with no political ties or connections. The IIHL is designed to create ties between member nations and to further sport organizations within member nations.


ARTICLE 1. SHORT TITLES

(1.) The International Ice Hockey League may be cited as the IIHL and will herein be termed the IIHL

(2.) Member-nations are nations who ratify this Treaty

(3.) Ice Hockey refers to the game played by 2 teams of 5 skaters and 1 goalie who skate on an ice-surface and attempt to shoot a frozen rubber disc (puck) into the opposing team's net


ARTICLE 2. RULES AND REGULATIONS

(1.) OOC: The rules and regulations as per the game of ice hockey are such as defined by the NHL in Canada and the United States of America

(2.) OOC: The Commissioner will use a formula (used by other game simulation sites) to allocate the necessary points to each player of the team

(3.) Each team will have to name every single player that will be on their team.

(4.) Teams can have a maximum of 50 players and a minimum 20 players

(5.) OOC: Each player must be identified as a "type" of player (ie. Grinder, Sniper, Enforcer, Playmaker) More information on this will be given in the Forum for this part of the IIHL

(6.) The IIHL shall contain teams from member-nations

(7.) Each member-nation may have a maximum of two teams


ARTICLE 3. LEAGUE

(1.) The League shall consist of teams from member-nations.

(2.) The League will not interfere with any politics; no nation or team will be banned or discriminated against based on political or religious beliefs

(3.) IIHL schedule will contain 6 games annually and playoff series for the IIHL Cup.

(4.) The League has the right to suspend, exclude or expel nations and teams signed to this treaty that have broken IFL regulations.

(5.) No two teams may have the same name.


ARTICLE 4. PLAYERS

(1.) Players may not use performance enhancing drugs such as steroids at any time. Players shall be randomly tested by the IIHL board.

ARTICLE 5. WORLD CUP

(1.) Any political organization may create a team for their city. For that team to qualify for the World Cup, this Treaty must be ratified. However, regardless of whether a nation ratities this Treaty, political parties may create a team.

(2.) World Cup will take place after each season, so long as their is aduaquate teams to participate.

(3.) The World Cup must be between at least two teams.

(4.) The World Cup is giving in a series of 7 games, with the winning team needing 4 wins.

(5.) No city may host the World Cup in back to back years.
