Bill: Neutrality Act and Leaving the AU

Details

Submitted by[?]: Greyistische Demokraten

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 4061

Description[?]:

This reform will make us neutral again, with minimal international cooperation (mostly regarding global justice, science & travel). Just like in the Gemeinwesen.

We want to leave the AU, especially because it is Dorvik dominated.

MessageOOC: The AU (artanian union) is not like the EU (european union).

Plus, we'll remain in several scientific treaties (like the ISA; International Space Agency), TerraVision, TOA (Terran Olympic Association), Law of the Sea and in the ICAO (International Civil Avionics Organisation) and a few others like the QEA (Quality Economy Agreement).

The AU is also an alliance, if a state in the AU is attacked, we have to support it, this means that we're not neutral anymore.

Random fact: Periodically, it is a good idea to go through your nation's Treaties and arrange to withdraw from any that are unwanted.

Random quote: "Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are like us." Ask the experimenters why it is morally okay to experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are not like us." Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction." - Charles R. Magel
