After an internal vote, current Prime Minister of Rutania Jack English was elected to replace him. In 2877 Jack English was announced as the new Head of State of Rutania. March 2877 - Rutanian Constitution 2877 - The Democratic Party of Rutania, Liberal Democratic Party and the People's Party made changes to the constitution. A new era was founded. http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=276783 2880 - After an unprecedented 40 years in charge Jack English, retires from government leading the way for a unanimous vote to elect Sarah Bradbury as the new leader of the Democratic Party of Rutania. 2881 - Sarah Bradbury's first act as leader was to change the core foundations of the DPR. A number of policies have been modified and a new manifesto is in the works. She also felt it was time for a name change. "A more modern progressive party needs a modern, progressive name." 2881 - The Democratic Party of Rutania votes to change its name to The United Democratics (UniDem). 2886 - John Sullivan is voted in as the new leader of UniDem. His first act was to oversee the new UniDem manifesto. 2893 - After a couple of quiet years on the political front John Sullivan steps down and Samuel T. Johnson takes the reigns as leader of UniDem. |
