Description[?]:
After a very long absence from Rutanian politics, the Grand Liberal Party of Rutania (GLP) has returned, this time under leader Tom Collins II, a descendant of the original leader, Tom Collins. The party is based on "New" or "Social" Liberalism. Our beliefs include: - Internationalism. We believe that all nations should co-operate to benefit all of us in the long-term, instead of focusing on our own selfish needs in the short-term. - A mixed economy. We believe that our economy should include a variety of government and public control. - An extensive system of Social Security. We believe that this will help prevent poverty in persons who have retired, and those who are unemployed or ill. - Equality. Every Romanian should have equal opportunity and equal rights, and they will! - Environmentalism. We need to take care of our land, or we will lose it! - We believe in a value-added/progressive taxation system to fund government expenditures. - We support multiculturalism. - We strongly support human rights, social rights, civil rights, social justice and civil liberties. - We believe in Fair Trade. - Multilateralism. It is important for nations to come together to resolve important issues. |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
Random quote: "When we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, 'Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!'" - Martin Luther King Jr. |
