This press message was released by the Government of the Kingdom of Dolgaria.

Prime Minister Petersen announces his retirement from the Dolgarian Parliament, effective upon the election of a new cabinet.

"Eight years is enough for one man," Petersen stated, at a press confrence in Darina. "I congratulate the Dolgar Unionist Party for their strong electoral success in the last elections, and I expect to hand the office over to whomever their party selects, as soon as the Parliament ratifies the new cabinet."

The DNUP will hold a convention in Karzon Beach next month, in order to determine who the new leader of the party will be. The DNUP will probably find itself in the opposition for the first time in over a decade when the new DUP cabinet is proposed.

Signed,
the Government of the Kingdom of Dolgaria
