A leak at a factory in Ingris has caused thousands of litres of poisonous chemicals to be released into an important river. Environmentalists predict that the aquatic life in the river will be wiped out and it will take years to recover. The company responsible, ZNR Inc., is a major member in the mining sector of Ingris and there are worries that a similar incident could happen in their other plants that exist throughout Quanzar. The company has refused to comment on the issue.

News Report

A leak at a factory in Largonia has caused thousands of litres of poisonous chemicals to be released into an important river. Environmentalists predict that the aquatic life in the river will be wiped out and it will take years to recover. The company responsible, JSS Inc., is a major member in the software sector of Largonia and there are worries that a similar incident could happen in their other plants that exist throughout Dorvik. The company has refused to comment on the issue.

This press message was released by the Government of the Republic of Likatonia.

Vigdis Hocken, elected representative of the Likatonian Foreign Affairs Department, and nominated International Speaker for the Synodus Axis Mundi, issues the following statment:

The Republic of Likatonia is currently experiencing something of a 'progressive' Golden Age, with the popular democratic mandate granted to the Axis Mundi coalition by the people of Likatonia.

In the 2194 elections, the people of Likatonia overwhelmingly rebuked the forces of tyranny and oppression, electing all four Axis Mundi parties to the Convocation of Likatonian in superior numbers. The Axis Mundi coalition currently consists of the four 'largest' voter blocks of the eight parties active in the Republic.

Indeed, the people of Likatonia have truthfully granted a mandate. The Axis Mundi coalition has a 'super-majority', more than two-thirds of the total voter representation in the Convocation, as well as being elected to ascendency in EVERY prefecture.

As further evidence of the good-standing of the Axis Mundi coalition, the (elected) 'Head of State' contest has given the 'Emissary' Seat to Kristin Lund, of the "Axis Mundi Progressive Social Strength" party. The AM PSS gained the office in a close run second-round, of which both candidates were from Axis Mundi coalition partner parties.
