News Report

Citizens of Gaduridos were horrified as news came through of a shooting spree in a small school in the Province of Marligantos. Leen Burret, a frustrated student fed up with school work, entered the school this yesterday morning armed with a gun and began shooting students and teachers indiscriminately. After killing 11 people and wounding 20 more, Leen Burret committed suicide before being arrest by law enforcement. Former teacher Filip Gaines told reporters how the community was still in a state of shock and how this tragedy would haunt Gaduridos for years to come. Chancellor of the Federal Union Nighoghos Ashardjian has since travelled to the area to attend the funerals of the victims.

A leak at a factory in Vrassa has caused thousands of litres of poisonous chemicals to be released into an important river. Environmentalists predict that the aquatic life in the river will be wiped out and it will take years to recover. The company responsible, BOW Inc., is a major member in the aerospace sector of Vrassa and there are worries that a similar incident could happen in their other plants that exist throughout Kalistan. The company has refused to comment on the issue.
