Announcement from the Government of the Holy Luthori Empire

This press message was released by the Government of the Holy Luthori Empire.

The Luthori Civil War continues to rage across the Luthori country side. The reasons for the Civil War are complex but the current government will attempt to explain. In May of 2578, the Faith Act was passed requiring all nationals to register with the State Religion. It also forbid missionaries from other countries and required people of faith to dress according to their religious codes, which would be the State Religion. For the Catholic community and non-Christian community this was not acceptable. The Christian Democratic Party and the Luthori Tory Party declared Civil War against the allies of the State Church of Luthori.

During the Civil War, citizenship was reduced to only those that owned land. This disenfranchised many Catholic and non-Catholics who lived in urban areas. We again found cause for Civil War against the political parties that established these unjust citizenship laws. In addition, the Royalist parties signed a bill mandating that the military execute all foreign prisoners of war.

Our terms are simple: We want the citizenship laws reversed so that all nationals may enjoy the same rights. Upon the likely passage of such a bill the Civil War will end.

As far as the Crown is concerned, the Christian Democratic Party will not recognize any Monarchy authority until the dispute between the Adlurians, Hulstrians, and Luthori Tory Party for the Crown is solved. In addition, since the Prime Minister position is filled by an exiled political leader, the CDP will represent the Luthori government in all international affairs until a new cabinet is established.

We appreciate the patience and considerations on all sides of this conflict. We are declaring a Cease Fire under the condition that Tinako and Utagia remain under Republican governance. The capital city of Fort William shall remain neutral so that the Diet despite this conflict may still function politically.
